How long does it take for you to notice weight loss after you have begun a workout routine?
I began working out and running about a mile a day a couple of weeks ago but the only difference I have noticed is my legs are becoming more muscular. How long does it take from the day you begin excercising that weight starts coming off?

depends..a mile is good, but really not that far..mix it up..run three times a week and work in other cardio exercise..swim, ellipitical machines, aerobics....remember to schedule days off too...next, keep a food diary for a week..write down everything you eat...then week two, eliminate all the crap...you know what that is...replace it with yougart, fresh steamed veggies...water, water, water.....within a week or so you should see your numbers going down..lost 23 pounds this summer doing this..and have kept it off by working out 5-6 days a week...and no crap...good luck

well if your legs are becomming more muscular you might actually gain weight.
when I used to do heavy duty workouts in judo I would usually sweat about 3 lbs in 2 hours. I would end up weighing more though cuz I put on more muscle.
your legs are showing you are getting leaner which is already fat loss and muscle growth. if your worried about your belly you gotta target that while you run and work out. When I workout I usually can drop 5 lbs in a week from very little. Work hard and eat plenty of food. Eat loads of fish and meat which will help put your weight into your muscles and burn off the fat. You might end up heavier than when you started but you will be thinner and in better shape. don%26#039;t forget muscle is denser than fat so you can actually be less mass but heavier.

It depends on the person. I gained a little holiday weight around the tummy. I see adifference on the tummy area already (meaning I am losing it). But I excercise 5 times a week, yoga twice and eat right to maintain it. Well you probably gained muscle if you are running and seeing your legs pump up, most likely you will start gaining muscle and start toning up. I would switch your routine around. Such as yoga here, pilates, cardio, and weights. Oh yeah a good diet helps too. Good Luck!
