Weight training and weight loss?
i dont understand how weight training at the gym can help you lose weight. i thought cardio was the only way?

Weight-training increases your metabolism, and after a good weight training session your metabolism will stay high for 38 hours afterwards. However with cardio, once you stop pedaling or running or whatever your metabolism goes back to normal.

also, for every pound of muscle you gain, you burn about 50 calories extra a day, just doing nothing at all. Muscle takes more calories to maintain.
So besides just burning calories doing the work to lift the weights, the benefit is even more so in its after effects
