Weight loss advise for a dude that can%26#039;t find time to work out and hates vegetables? I work 70 hours per week and have a wife and two small kids at home, making it nearly impossible to get into the gym. I hate pretty much all vegetables (except for raw carrots) and I only like salad if I can put ranch on it. .... Any weight loss advise for me?

Liposuction. Seriously, there%26#039;s no other possible choice for you.

I mean it%26#039;s not like you can be an adult about it and eat stuff that%26#039;s healthy for you. Or it%26#039;s not like you can%26#039;t find 30 minutes a day to do something good for your body.

We all have responsibilities, we all work long hours and there are certain foods that I don%26#039;t like but I eat anyway because they%26#039;re good for me and I need them.

Either you do what needs to be done, or go the easy route and get the lipo done. 100% 2 Votes

  • You don%26#039;t need a gym to work out, go for a run. Whether you like vegetables or not you have to eat healthy. If you can%26#039;t make small sacrafices then you arent that serious about losing weight. 0% 0 Votes
  • Permanent weight loss is acheived through burning more calories than you consume. If you have limited time to exercise you%26#039;ll have to maximize your efforts by eating well, lean meats, quality carbs (whole grains, no refined sugar white bread products) and fresh fruits and whatever veggies you can tolerate. At work, take the stairs, walk around your bldg. at lunch, park farther away, do whatever you can to increase your activity level. Good luck to you! 0% 0 Votes
  • Do you have a lunch break at work? You can walk on your lunch. It may not be a big workout but it%26#039;s still a workout. Or how about going for walks after work with the family. Try to make your workout family oriented, like walking, bike riding, swimming, playing at the park. It%26#039;s not a hard strenuous workout, but it%26#039;s still exercise, and it lets you spend quality time with your family.

If you like raw carrots, eat raw carrots. If you like other veggies with dip, like celery or cucumbers.. and you know dip is bad for you... buy fat free cottage cheese, put it in the blender until smooth, and mix it with a pack of hidden valley ranch dip mix. Let it sit in the fridge over night, and it makes a great fat free dip with only 80 calories in 1 cup. You could put this on your salad as well. Have you tried vegetable juices? A lot of people don%26#039;t like veggies, but they can drink things like V-8 0% 0 Votes
  • Try using protein shakes. They supplement or replace meals and help build muscle and reduce body fat. However, they can taste a lil bland , but you can add toppings to your liking.

One thing though, if you don%26#039;t eat enough vegies, your body will deplete in certain vitamins and nutrients and you may become fatigued, moody etc Regardless of how much you hate vegies, you should bite the bullet. 0% 0 Votes
  • If you truly, honestly, whole-heartedly can%26#039;t find any time to exercise, then I suggest you cutback on your junk food eating habits, such as soda and candy, chips and cookies, etc. If you eat bread, try avoiding white, and go for whole grains. Drink water regularly instead of soda, as mentioned above. Eating salads with dressing isn%26#039;t bad at all, because you do need SOME fat in your diet. Don%26#039;t over drizzle the dressing though, because the point of salad dressing is to work in conjunction with the various vegetables and fruits inside your bowl. If all you taste is dressing, then you know you have went overboard.

If you have kids, perhaps you can spend time with them playing around. Anything is better than sitting around watching T.V. or using a computer, though you still burn calories in that way. If you truly can%26#039;t spend time with your kids playing around, or perhaps they are still to little, then use the above advice.

Just remember that, once they get to an age where you can spend time with them, instill into them to be active, instead of being a couch potato. Though that may be years from now, or sooner than you%26#039;d expect, it%26#039;ll benefit you as much as them if you become active along with them. 0% 0 Votes
