This isn%26#039;t a conventional weight lost story but I%26#039;ll go ahead and tell you anyway. If first started lifting weights on a regular basis (3+ times a week) about 1 year ago. I weighed about 200LBS and wanted to put on some extra muscle. So I looked to gain weight. I looked to gain weight because in order to have significant muscular growth you need bulk. So, I started eating big, lifting big and so forth. From May 2006 to November 2006 I gained 25 LBS and I was 225 LBS. From November 2006 to today I%26#039;ve lost 20 LBS of fat (and I measured) and I have a more lean physique.

How did I do it? In order to gain weight I ate at least 3500 calories a day. I ate 6 meals a day and looked to eat as much protein as possible. I did very little cardio and hit the weights at least 4 times a week.

To lose weight, what I did was I cut down my calorie intake and kept my protein intake the same. I ate about 2000 calories a day (keep in mind that I was 225LBS) and still ate the 220 grams of protein that I needed. I became a vegetarian during this time as well so I didn%26#039;t eat alot fat either. I looked to eat raw foods and organic as much as possible. I didn%26#039;t eat any junk food (fastfood, carbonated drinks, processed food, etc . . .) either. I altered my diet and my exercise regimen. Not all at once but through gradual change. As for my exercise regimen: I lifted the same except that this time I did alot more cardio than before. An hour a day, 5 days a week along with an hour of weight lifting. It took me 15 weeks to lose 20 pounds and I can%26#039;t believe how smooth it went. I never had any withdrawls like some people say they do and I rarely ever had any slumps in progress during this time. Right now I weight 205LBS at 6%26#039;2%26quot; and I plan to keep myself at this weight.

I think that most people could lose weight if they had enough determination. I believe that whether you%26#039;re looking to gain weight or lose it, it%26#039;s a 75% psychological and 25% physical effort. The fact is, is that if you don%26#039;t have the will power and determination to get something done, it%26#039;s not going to get done. If you can%26#039;t put those chips down and get into that gym, you%26#039;re not going to see progress and I don%26#039;t care what regimen of weight loss pills you take. Me. Also, if you have questions about weight loss or gain, send me a message and I%26#039;ll see if I can guide you to some useful information (some which helped me). 100% 1 Vote

  • Well i was never really %26quot;overweight%26quot; im not trying to sound conceited though.

but anyways the really only effective way is to diet and exercise, or possibly get lyposuction (jk).
Diet pills are a scam, although those hoodia pills actually do help by reducing the sense of huner therefor losing the urge to eat.

And to the guy above me, shut up, just because you don%26#039;t feel good about yourself doesn%26#039;t mean you have to make fun of others, everyone is perfect the way they are! and stop talking Lyke Diz you illiterat redneck. 0% 0 Votes
  • First, ignore! the rude comment you got.

I do weights, stretching and aerobics.
    Weights once a week.
    Stretching and aerobics daily.
    Saturday is my day off.
    I do 5-15 minutes at a time.
I changed body fat to muscle and bone strength.
Scale wise, I gained weight. Fat weighs less than muscle.
Body wise, I got tighter and stronger. 0% 0 Votes
