BMI and body weight loss?

BMI and body weight loss? I%26#039;ve been trying to lose weight for the last 2 months and I seem to be stuck on 80 kilos for my 170cm height age 24. It classifies as a BMI of 28. [slightly overweight]

I%26#039;ve been heading to the gym every second day and I go jogging everyday for about 15-30 minutes but nothing seems to be helping. In any case I look and feel great with my only real issue being endurance cardio workouts.

After talking to some of my mates they say that eventually you will start to put on weight as you put on muscle but it should be still a weight loss as you work out in total.

Should I still be considered as being %26#039;slightly overweight%26#039;? or am I not trying hard enough?

bmi sucks. i was 180 lbs at 6%26#039;1 with a 8 percent bodyfat, and i was considered overweight. I learned that bmi was very in accurate so i measured my results with bodyfat percentage... 100% 1 Vote

  • I don%26#039;t think it%26#039;s easy to shake what the BMI charts say about you. I%26#039;m kinda near to your current stats. I%26#039;d say give it more time. Continue what you%26#039;re doing and watch what you eat. You%26#039;ll get there in time. Good luck. 0% 0 Votes
