What happens to a tattoo when you loss weight?
Best Answer - Chosen by Voters
I believe it depends on how much weight you lose and where the tattoo is. If it is on your stomach then obviously if you lose a lot of weight it is going to get distorted. If it is on the top of your foot, unless you were really really big, it shouldn%26#039;t effect it that much.

This all depends on the size and location of the tattoo. A tattoo on an ankle, lower back, upper shoulder area----or any area that doesn%26#039;t have very much fat naturally (no matter how big you are) won%26#039;t change much if at all. If you have a tattoo on a fleshy area and lose a lot of weight, the tattoo will not look the same--it may appear distorted, and will have to be corrected or removed.

Do a test. Draw a bad a-s-s smiley face on an inflated balloon ans slowly deflate it. see what happens.

It depends on where the tattoo is, and how much weight is lost. It could either simply become smaller and darker, or it could be distorded and blurry if there is a large area of loose stretchmarks under the tat ,now that you have dropped weight. Generally though, gaining is far mor harmful to body art then losing.

It depends on where u got it. Lose weight on your ankle the tattoo will look the same. Get on on your butt and u know the answer.

Well it depends on a variety of things. In most cases, nothing will happen to it. But if you are losing alot of weight but got the tattoo while you were overweight, it could distort the shape of the tat some. Hard to say though.
