Does laxative tea help with weight loss?

Does laxative tea help with weight loss? Hi, I%26#039;ve been restricting my calories and eating mostly fruits and vegetables. I started drinking a laxative tea (Smooth Move) at night and definitely have to %26quot;go%26quot; more often and in large quantites. (ew, sorry.)

I was wondering if the laxative tea helps with weight loss? If it%26#039;s not speeding up my eliminations, why am I going to the bathroom so much?

Thank you :) I don%26#039;t want to do this for longer than a week or two because I know it%26#039;s not really healthy and stomach aches are not my favorite side effects.
