Does Add meds for adults cause weight loss?
I believe I do have adult Add and I have heard that a side effect is weight loss. Is this true?

My daughters are on ADD meds. Most are amphetimines and will cause you to lose your appetite. In which case makes you lose weight. My youngest daughter lost 50 lbs when she started the meds and my other daughter has lost 40 already.

it depends on the medication. ritalin does. it acts almost like speed. only if you have add it will have the opposite affect on your mind. but it does cause weight loss.
there are a lot of new meds out there now though. i%26#039;m sure they do similar things. you%26#039;d have to ask your doc specifically about what med they put you on.
