Can building up muscle slow down weight loss?
I have just started to swim 30 lengths three times a week but rather than speed up my weight loss as i had hoped it has actually slowed it down. My daughter thinks that this may be because i have started to build up muscle as i am a very large lady and she thinks that this may mean that i use more muscle to pull myself through the water. Is she correct or just trying to make me feel better?
