You have plenty of time to loose the weight the right way.. Running is great exercise but if you want real results add in some weight training. During a good run or weightlifting session your body burns additional calories. After you stop running your body pretty much stops burning extra calories however with weight training your body can burn additional calories for as much as 24 hours!! You won’t get big or buff.. Genetically women are not predisposed to add significant muscle mass.A protein shake is a great idea.. Here is the cool part.. If you keep your protein high and carbs low to moderate (I will address carbs later) your body is then forced to use some of the excess protein as energy.. You burn 20% more calories using protein as an energy source rater than a carb. Try to intake .5 grams of protein per lb of lean body mass.
Ok.. Now let’s talk about carbs… Nix the fruit and any veggie that is sweet.. All of those are high in carbs and the nutritional value is negligible because of it. Stick to complex carbs like Broccoli, asparagus, green beans and brown rice. That will get you the results you are looking for while insuring you have everything you need nutritionally.
Hope that helps,

I intake protein about 60 minutes after I finish my lifts. But I also take creatine and I like taking that on an empty stomach.
Mine is 2 cups of milk and a scoop of whey, which gives me about 40g of protein...try not to go over 50 though, that will most likely just pass through and not do anything.
