Which exercise is better for weight loss? An hour of turbo kickboxing @ 24 hr fitness or 45 minutes of jogging on the treadmill non stop. Which one would be better for weight loss and burning fat?

  • jogging is not good for burning fat. science has proven that brisk walk burns more fat, and faster..you will feel that its harder to walk fast, than to run... walking is seriosuly under rated... jogging is a good carido excersize but not very effective for weight loss..

    from personal experience the best way to loose weight is get ur body%26#039;s metabolism to increase... so that it burns more fat in its activities, and even when ur sleeping or not working out.. most effective way is weight training.. other than that, the following things help ur bodys metabolic rate.

    fish oil ( salmon oil, card liver oil ).... green tea.... and spices increase ur met rate for upto 3 hours.

    eat less but more.. what that means is, eat ur regular meals, but in smaller proportions and more often. that also increases ur metabolic rate.... ahhh i guess thats it from me. good luck!
  • There are a lot of variables, such as speed of jogging, exertion during kick boxing, etc. Kick boxing is not bad for the joints as jogging is and jogging is a constant where kick boxing isn%26#039;t. Anything that is strenuous and keep your heart racing for periods longer than 20 minutes is good.

  • Both are different and both are effective. I would devide half hour in jogging and half hour in kick boxing.

    If you dont want to pay for kickboxing then jogging is better, but only if you do it regularly.
  • Honey you got the top exercises. Try running on a track outside and run up a hill for resistance. Also Running is the best exercise for burning fat. It works the whole body.

  • Neither is better than the other, both will contribute to cardiovascular heath. What you need to do for weight loss is to gain muscle in the large muscles of the body in order to burn fat. The more muscle you have the more fat you will burn. Try strength training.
