The simple answer is no, not really. Your body will first need to burn through glycogen that is stored in muscles and in the liver. With Intense exercise this takes about 20 - 30 minutes before your body starts to utilize fat for energy. The food you eat will be used to replace that glycogen you lost, as long as it is healthy and nutritious. Once glycogen stores are full the rest is stored as fat.
