Well, I decided I wanted to lose weight so I joined a gym and got a personal trainer. I also got a dietician to help me with what I can eat to maintain weightloss.I started going to the gym 5 days a week and I would meet with my trainer 2 times a week for an hour. I%26#039;d do a lot of cardio on my own and with my trainer I would do weight training. I exercise a lot!!
I cut out all sugar, bread, pasta, rice (hard because I%26#039;m puerto rican and it%26#039;s the main thing in our diet) and potatoes. Pretty much all the starchy stuff. I made my diet 90% protein. I eat lean protein like egg whites, chicken without the skin, lean steaks, turkey, low fat cheeses. Vegetables that became part of my diet are lettuce, tomatoes, onions, broccoli and green peppers. I also cut out one of my biggest things: SODA! I stopped drinking soda cold turkey and I drink tons and tons of water. I drink about 120 ounces a day. I also do supplements like protein shakes and bars to keep me full. Of course, I%26#039;m human and sometimes I have a relapse and eat a cookie or candy bar, but I find that it works best to just not buy any of this stuff. If it%26#039;s not in my house I won%26#039;t eat it, and there%26#039;s no craving big enough that will make me get in my car to buy something. My dietician allows 2 servings of simple carbs per week, so this way you don%26#039;t feel like you%26#039;re depriving yourself.
The last thing you can do to lose weight is believe in yourself. It%26#039;s not going to be easy to lose weight, and it takes a lifestyle change for the weightloss to continue or for you to maintain your goal weight, so a fad diet won%26#039;t work. You need to make sure you do what works for you and stick to it. There are so many good options out there, but they don%26#039;t work for everybody. You have to be ready for plateus (periods of time when you%26#039;re not losing weight number wise on the scale, but you could still be losing inches) that will happen even when you%26#039;re following the diet to the smallest detail. Something else I recommend is setting short term goals for yourself that are realistic and whithin reach. If you set goals that are actually achievable and you reach them, you%26#039;ll feel good about yourself.
I followed these steps and it worked for me. My biggest piece of advice is to contact a dietician. It may be expensive, but in my case it paid off. Ask them to please design a diet for you. Stick to it and you%26#039;ll see the pounds drop. I wish you good luck and much sucess. I know you can do it!
P.S. Remember that you need to change your life, not just do a quick diet and go back to your %26quot;normal%26quot; eating habits, if not your weight can come back and you%26#039;ll be disappointed. Good luck!

Well, most people say to steer clear of diet pills. However, if taken correctly, then they will work for you. I took Total Lean Control for a couple of months and lost 8 lbs. I didn%26#039;t work out or anything, just sota cut back on what I ate. I then decided to start taking Hydroxycut and that worked extremely well. I lost 20 more lbs, but I also had to cut back on a lot of foods (allowing myself one amnesty day, typically Fridays). I also started drinking a lot of green tea and eliminated sugar. I also worked out everyday for about an hour, mainly doing running, elliptical, and ab work. I have since stopped taking the pills because cash flow has been limited (I%26#039;m a college student!), but I have continued with the better eating, I haven%26#039;t really worked out as much, but I limit my calories, carbs, and fat. I%26#039;m 5%26#039;6%26quot; I%26#039;ve stayed at 125, and it took me a little less than a year, but I also fell off the wagon plenty of times. I weigh less than I did in high school! I also dropped shirt and jean sizes!
Everyone is different, it%26#039;s just a matter of finding what will work best for you. Diet pills included. I hope you are able to find what you are looking for, in terms of weight loss! Good luck! Hope I was able to help =) Personal expierence -
I have lost 23 kgs(58lbs) since January%26#039;06. I used professional help, Sureslim in Australia. Basically, stay off carbs and sugar as these are the big nasties, much worse than fat because they stimulate insulin. Insulin is a hormone that prevents the metabolisation of protein and fat forcing the body to burn sugar, this is how it regulates blood sugar. You will NEVER loose fat with medium to high levels of insulin in you bloodstream. What%26#039;s worse aerobic exercise will burn glycogen in the muscles and you will just end up feeling tired and hungry and won%26#039;t loose an ounce of fat. So the whole crux of a successful diet is to limit your insulin by staying away from carb and sugar dense foods and also waiting a minimum of 5 hours between meals so that your blood sugar can stabilise. Be aware that low fat foods can be high in carbs and sugar and foods that have had the fat removed, it is generally replaced with carbs! For this reason stay away from proccessed food, eat fresh. You need to eat more protein and vegatables. You will find that you are not as hungry with lower levels of insulin too. Proteins are lean meat, chicken, fish, eggs, cheese, soy, torfu etc. Don%26#039;t mix protein, only one protein per meal. Stay completely away from bread, potatoes, rice, pasta, onions, parsnip, beetroot, carrots, peas, deserts, sugar (substitute with Stevia), Diet drinks, pastry, pizza pumpkin and alchohol. Eat fruit sparingly as it has sugar in it and no more than 1tbls of olive oil per day, including what you use for cooking. Try and avoid milk, use low fat natural yoghurt instead once or twice a week for breakfast. You can have unlimited amounts of lettuce, celery and cucumber as a filler but only at meal times. Finally 8 glasses of water a day. Good luck Jules. Australia.
- Use the Showgirls diet (did you see the movie?)...brown rice and vegies.....nothing more nothing less.
