Do NOT feed your dog cat food. Cat food has extra things in it for cats that dogs do NOT need.First off by mixing raw food and dry kibble you are confusing your dogs system. Either do the research and completely go raw or put him on a high quality (Nothing with corn and little to no fillers) dry dog food. Try using Puppy food instead of adult and also you can give canned (again high quality) puppy food which will also have more calories and will still be good for him.
You can also give baby cereal mixed with vanilla yogurt. The baby cereal has a lot of vitamins which is good for your dog and the yogurt has probiotics in it which is also good for your dog. You can use rice or oatmeal or the mix baby cereal.
These are the things that we do in rescue to help dogs gain weight. Puppy food (high quality) canned puppy food (high quality) and Baby Cereal with yogurt. 100% 2 Votes

Try feeding him cat food. It has all the same nutrients as dry dog food, but a lot more fat. He will gain weight faster and safely. Just mix half a cup of dry cat food with his dry dog food. Shelters and animal hospitals commonly use this practice for underweight dogs.
