Get something that shows where youre from - not the USA in general - but your area. I always gave host families post cards from my state, I found a neat etched crystal block with a state flower, anything that would remind someone of you, and where youre from!

Money is always a great gift. - I was in Germany last year and gave my host family Heinz ketchup. They LOVED it because it%26#039;s their favorite and is extremely expensive over there. They would probably never buy it on their own. It%26#039;s like someone giving you a $100 bottle of wine.
- baseball caps, T-shirts with cool logos, some typically American food like peanut butter, maybe scotch or whiskey (don%26#039;t buy expensive one!).
