Anybody read The Host by Stephenie Meyer?

There are two questions i%26#039;m really wondering
1. At which point did Wanda really fall in love with Ian? I mean did she JUST fall in love with Ian on her last day ? she says this on the day before she was going away %26quot;How could i find this, find love-now, in this eleventh hour- and have to leave it? %26quot;
2. How could it be that Wanda %26#039;s body loves Jared while Wanda the soul loves Ian ? Why does Wanda say that she can never love Ian in this body ?

1) It was a gradual thing. but i think she realizes for real the last day.
2) Her body yearns for Jared, not Ian.The body responds to Jaren more than Ian. But wanda, the soul loves Ian. (she still loves Jared, though, thanks to melanie). she says she cant love ian in that body because she wouldnt want to %26quot;use%26quot; melanie that way...if that makes sense.

  • 1) she slowly falls in love with him, its not an instant thing. it takes place over time

    2) mel is in love with Jared, so her body reacts to him. That is why Wanda says she can%26#039;t love Jared, because her BODY (not her, as in the SOUL) loves and yearns for Jared. She (the soul) loves Ian, not Jared (okay maybe a little bit but she likes ian more, i think)

  • 1. I think that she kinda always loved Ian form the time she found out that he was trying to protect her
    2. she is used to loving Jared so it is kinda a habit but once she leaves melanie%26#039;s body this fades away quite a bit
