I%26#039;m 18, so I%26#039;m kind of out of alot of the young adult because alot of it isn%26#039;t written well enough for my taste. With the exception of Stephenie Meyer, Scott Westerfeld, J.K Rowling and a few others. But I need some good reads for the summer, and I love vampire romance novels that are more recent. Anything magical and sci-fi-ish. But not too much so that it%26#039;s juat too weird.. Haha, thanks.

I have to totally agree w/ the pp... The Dragon Riders of Pern by Ann Mcaffrey are amazing.

Eragon, Eldest, and Brisingr by Christopher Paolini are Awesome too. If you saw the movie %26quot;eragon%26quot; then you don%26#039;t know anything about the book! :) Brisingr will be out in September 08. These are easy reads.

I just got done reading %26quot;enders game%26quot; by Orison Scott Card. It was very cool. The second one in the series was %26quot;speaker for the dead%26quot; and it was much harder to read.... and the third one is very sciency...
Enders game stands alone though %26amp; its a remarkable book.

  • House of Night Novels by PC Cast and Kristin Cast, is a good series. (Marked, Chosen, Betrayed). Charlaine Harris%26#039;s Souther Vampire Novels are good and is going to made into a series on HBO in the fall. Cassandra Palmer Series by Karen Chance are vampire, ghost, psychic, clairvoyant, witches, and demon books. The main vampire character is interesting. (Claimed By Shadow, Touch The Dark, Embrace the Night). IF you also like werewolves a series is the Mercedes Thompson Series by Patricia Briggs (Moon Called, Blood Bound, Iron Kissed,) If you want steamy scifi novels try Emma Holly. Also since your younger I would also read The Silver Kiss by Annette Curtis Klause I loved that book when I was 18.
