What do I bring as a host gift to the boss%26#039;s boss%26#039;s Christmas party?
Going to a Christmas party tonight at a Senior VP%26#039;s house. Did not have time to get a host gift, do not have too much money, and as you can guess they probably have all the money in the world. What can I get that isn%26#039;t too expensive, but doesn%26#039;t scream %26quot;I%26#039;m cheap??%26quot; Don%26#039;t have much time, just my lunch break to pick something up.

Some ideas:
A bottle of wine -- you will need to spend at least $20-25 on this to make it a good option (make sure you put it in a cute wine bag)
Some flowers
A small (cute) box of chocolates
A small plant

Good luck!

I like the price range. It helped a lot. I ended up getting a $20 bottle of Chardonnay and putting it in one of the wine bags I always have at my house for these types of occasions. THANK YOU for your answer!

  • A nice bottle of wine would be appropriate.
  • I agree with the majority on this one....a bottle of wine.
  • Take deviled eggs! Everyone loves those!
  • If its a dinner, then you bring something. If its a company party, you shouldnt have to.
  • A decent bottle of wine.
  • You could bring a very nice bottle of red wine. Don%26#039;t go to the grocery store- if there is a wine store in your area check it out. Tell the owner/clerk what you need. Tell him/her how much you want to spend. You can get some very nice wines from $12-$20 depending on the wine. (more for Pinot Noir).

There are also %26quot;accessories%26quot; for wine glass- called bracelets. The are placed on the end of the stem of the wine glass. This %26quot;marks%26quot; your glass. So, if you leave it for any reason, you can find your glass by the %26quot;bracelet%26quot; it%26#039;s wearing. They are not very expensive and usually comes in sets of 6.
  • I don%26#039;t believe that something has to be expensive to be a nice present. A holiday candle or soap attractively wrapped...I brought a nice Christmas tea and a small box of shortbread and wrapped in an attractive way for a business party. It looked beautiful and usually they don%26#039;t open the gifts when you are there so if it looks good on the outside...you are good to go. Another idea is some mulling spices and a tea ball. These gifts have some finesse even if they are not expensive!
