i just read the host by stephenie meyer and i don%26#039;t understand why it%26#039;s an adult book

It isn%26#039;t. It is written on the same level as Twilight. In fact, it is a very similar plot - Two guys chasing one girl with a very little twist. The ending was goofy and predictable. If this is what Ms. Meyer thinks adults read, she is very much mistaken. Personally I think they just said that because they knew kids would run out to buy what they weren%26#039;t supposed to have. It was junk. Pax-C

I think because the characters are adults and the themes in it are more geared towards an older audience than in the %26quot;Twilight%26quot; series. I think that%26#039;s why the distinction was made between the two. There are small nuances in the book that some younger readers might not get, depending on their reading level. It is definitely a more challenging read than the %26quot;Twilight%26quot; series.

Well, I heard it%26#039;s because the characters are adults. Really stupid if you ask me.
And it%26#039;s not that many teenagers will find it difficult to follow. It%26#039;s that many tweenagers would find it difficult to follow. Sixteen-year-olds could probably follow it just fine compared to a thirteen-year-old.

I guess cause it%26#039;s confusing.
I%26#039;m only 13 and I finished it in 3 days with no problem but it is a complicated story line.
Many teenagers would find it difficult to follow.
